Man Who Shielded His Kids From Gunfire Fired From 2 Jobs

A heroic father who took a bullet to protect his three children from gunfire in the United States is now jobless after being fired.

Anthony Jefferson and his kids were in a Bronx car dealership when a gunman started shooting, prompting the father to throw himself over his children.

Jefferson was hit with a bullet in his right thigh in the incident which took place earlier this week, and his wife, Danica, told TMZ that due to his inability to walk at the moment, he was fired from his two jobs as head painter at a maintenance company and as a construction worker in NYC. She couldn’t mention the names of the companies.

The heroic dad has been discharged from the hospital but the bullet is still lodged in his leg. His wife revealed that he will need another surgery in the near future.

The encounter has left the three kids traumatized and the parents are hoping to get them to see a therapist soon.
