According to information obtained by TMZ, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office received a distress call in the early hours of Monday morning around 2 AM from security personnel at the couple’s Montecito mansion, reporting a man lingering near the property.

The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Kevin Garcia Valdovinos, was subjected to a citizen’s arrest by Harry and Meghan’s security team at the entrance of the estate. Upon the arrival of the police, Valdovinos was taken into custody and subsequently charged with misdemeanor stalking. He was later released after posting $2,500 bail.

The specific nature of Valdovinos’ actions remains undisclosed, but it is noteworthy that he did not breach the actual premises of the property. Although he communicated something to the security staff that led to his arrest, authorities are yet to divulge the exact details. Prosecutors will now determine the course of action moving forward in this case.

It remains unclear whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were present at the residence during the incident. However, this is not the first instance of an intruder being apprehended either on or near their property. As previously reported by TMZ, on Christmas Eve of 2020, a man named Nickolas Brooks traveled from Ohio and was warned for trespassing. Astonishingly, Brooks returned on December 26 of the same year and was subsequently arrested for trespassing once again.

The royal couple has been residing in Montecito, California, after stepping back from their duties as senior members of the British royal family. Concerns surrounding their security and privacy have remained prevalent, and this recent incident further underscores the need for heightened vigilance and protection at their residence.
