The leaders of different markets in Abia South Senatorial District, comprising committee, zonal, and line leaders, have given their support to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for Senate and Chief Okey Ahiwe for Governor in the upcoming elections.

During a well-attended event in Aba, the representative of the traders, Chief Lucky Akabueze, who also serves as the ASMATA President, commended the Governor for being a trader-friendly leader who has always fought for their welfare. He also described Chief Okey Ahiwe as a leader whose time has come.

The traders, who came in large numbers, showed their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), which they renamed “OVI PVC,” and urged all traders in Abia State, irrespective of their state of origin, to turn out in large numbers with their family members on February 25th to vote for the Governor, who they believe has the potential to redeem the glory of Abia South at the senate.

According to Chief Lucky Akabueze, “I have lived here with you, and together we have worked to reposition Aba to ensure that your businesses grow exponentially. There is nothing that you have asked me to do that I haven’t done for you, and even now, I am still working to improve your welfare further. As we speak, I am laying the final layer of asphalt along Faulks Road to enable you to have smoother access to Ariaria.”

“I appreciate your endorsement, which I know you have given wholeheartedly because you believe in my vision and mission in government,” he added.
