Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, expressed his condolences to his predecessor, Dr. Ken Nnamani, over the sudden death of his wife, Mrs. Jane Nnamani.
According to reports, Mrs. Nnamani passed away over the weekend in her early 60s after undergoing minor surgery in Enugu.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Ola Awoniyi, the Senate leader expressed shock and devastation over Mrs. Nnamani’s death, describing it as a great loss.
Lawan also prayed to God to comfort Dr. Nnamani and his family during this difficult time and urged them to take solace in Mrs. Nnamani’s enduring legacy of good deeds.
Lawan also extended his sympathies to the government and people of Enugu State, where Mrs. Nnamani passed away. He prayed for the soul of the deceased to have eternal rest.
Mrs. Nnamani was a renowned philanthropist and a strong advocate for the empowerment of women and children. Her death has left many in mourning, as she was well-loved and respected in her community.
The family has not yet released any official statement regarding her burial arrangements. However, it is expected that her funeral will be well-attended by friends, family, and well-wishers who will come to pay their last respects to a woman who touched the lives of many through her acts of kindness and generosity.
