During his first campaign rally on Sunday, July 19, 2020, US presidential aspirant and rapper Kanye West disclosed that he and wife Kim Kardashian almost aborted their first child.
Kanye got emotional when addressing the crowd in South Carolina, dishing how he urged Kim to abort the baby when she was pregnant with North.
“She had pills in her hand”, he said at the Exquis Event Center in North Charleston. He added that God told him, “if you f**k with my vision I’m going to f**k with yours.”
Speaking further, Kanye stated, “I almost killed my daughter”, adding, “No more plan B, plan A.”
The controversial hip hop star showed up to his presidential campaign in protective gear, sporting a vest labeled ‘Security’, with ‘2020’ shaved into his hair.
Among the things he addressed were the issues of gun control, opioids, abortion, and economic equality.
At one point during the rally, Kanye praised his wife Kim for standing up to him when he told her to abort North, commending her for protecting North.
So even if my wife were to divorce me after this speech, she brought North into this world. She stood up and protected that child.”
He also revealed that his father almost had him aborted.
My mom saved my life. My dad wanted to abort me. There would have been no Kanye West. Because my dad was too busy.”
Kanye stated that he was not in support of banning abortion, saying:
In 2020 abortion should be legal, everybody that has a baby, gets a million dollars or something.”
