He made this known through a post on his Instastory on Tuesday, where he shared a snapshot of the confirmation page for deactivation. Shortly after this announcement, his account was deactivated.
This is not the first time that Kanye has deactivated his Instagram account. He had previously done so in October 2018 and then again in September 2020. These actions were in response to the backlash he faced due to his performance on Saturday Night Live and his support for former US President Donald Trump, during which he donned the red MAGA cap.
Moreover, Kanye has faced suspensions from social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter due to his controversial remarks. In October 2022, he made antisemitic comments on Instagram, leading to his suspension from the platform. Furthermore, his friend Elon Musk suspended him from Twitter in December 2022 after Kanye posted an image that featured a Swastika.
As of now, the reasons behind Kanye West’s latest Instagram deactivation remain unknown, and his fans are eagerly waiting for him to provide an explanation.
