Instagram has deactivated the verified account of the suspected internet fraudster, Abbas Ramoni. He’s currently being tried in U.S. courts for a number of possible fraud-related activities.
In June of 2020, talkGlitz reported that Hushpuppi was arrested in Dubai by a joint team of Dubai Police and the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation. The website claimed he was detained following accusations of fraud.
Hushpuppi was then extradited and charged with multiple charges of hacking, impersonating, scamming, banking fraud, and identity theft.
One of the internet fraudsters, who goes by the username @hushpuppi, has about 2.8 million followers with 827 followers, 540 posts showcasing his extravagant lifestyle on his account.
Despite the fact that Hushpuppi was arrested and tried, Instagram permitted him to share videos and photos on the platform apart from any dangerous organizations or individuals.
Hushpuppi’s account has continued to be active, but now it seems that Instagram may have reviewed the decision and decided to delete his account.
On Sunday, October 30th, we conducted a check to confirm the validity of certain accounts on Instagram. The search results revealed that Hushpuppi’s account has been deactivated.
