An abducted Sole Administrator of the Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State, Chris Ohizu, has been beheaded.
It was reported that gunmen had abducted Ohizu alongside two other residents on Friday.
The attackers also set Ohizu’s residence and vehicles ablaze.
TalkGlitz understands that the family of the late LGA boss paid a ransom of N6m to the gunmen to secure his release.
It was gathered that videos showing the butchered head of the LGA boss appeared on social media in the early hours of Monday.
In one of the videos, the gunmen threatened to also attack Hope Uzodimma, governor of Imo, and other residents of the state.
Recently, Imo has witnessed a spate of violent attacks perpetrated by gunmen.
