Talented Nigerian musician, Ayra Starr, has revealed some interesting facts about her academic background.
The singer recently disclosed that she graduated from the University at the early age of 18.
She revealed this while speaking during an interview on Nairobi News
Ayra Starr’s revealed that her mother insisted that she had to obtain a university degree before pursuing her passion for music.
The young artist had always dreamt of becoming a teenage pop star, and she was determined to make her dream a reality. Therefore, she decided to prioritize her education by enrolling in a university early.
In her words, Ayra Starr said, “My mum said I had to go to school first before she allowed me to do any type of music. So it was school first, school first. I made sure I got into school early because I wanted to become a teenage pop star.”
To achieve her goal, Ayra Starr said she wrote her West African Examinations Council (WAEC) a year before her scheduled graduation. Though she was unsure of her chances of success, the singer worked hard and emerged with flying colors.
Subsequently, Ayra Starr enrolled in a university in Benin Republic, where she graduated at the age of 18 with a degree in International Relations and Political Science.
She is currently considering obtaining another degree, although she has been finding it challenging due to her busy schedule.
Despite her musical successes, Ayra Starr has continued to pursue her education and develop her skills in various fields. She is taking French lessons, piano lessons, and music lessons to improve her abilities.
