Former signee to the controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, Manny Monie, has confessed to being responsible for the recent problems faced by the artist.
Many Nigerians reacted differently to the incident, with some applauding Portable for resisting arrest and demanding his fundamental human rights be respected, while others mocked him.
However, in a new development, Manny Monie revealed that he is behind Portable’s troubles with the police and denied being a Yahoo boy.
In one of Portable’s Instagram live videos, he alleged that Yahoo boys had sent the police after him.
Denying the allegation of being a fraudster, Manny Monie stated that the police came after his former boss after several failed attempts to invite him to the station peacefully.
He filed a petition against Portable for threatening his life and inciting violence against him, but Portable failed to honor the invitations.
It was reported that Manny Monie and Portable fell apart after they shared a video of himself assaulting Manny Monie, who was sitting on the floor.
In the video, Portable accused his ex-signee of being ungrateful and a scammer. He also claimed that Manny Monie tried to double-cross him by employing two music distributors without his knowledge.
Portable’s action ensued after Manny Monie claimed he fired his entire studio staff (belonging to Portable) after generating only N7k in a month.
The incident has caused a lot of reactions on social media, with many Nigerians taking sides in the matter.
