The talented actress jokingly threatened to take legal action against the fan who dared to ruin her meticulously crafted attire.
The AMVCA, held at the esteemed Eko Hotel Convention Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos, attracted a star-studded ensemble of celebrities from various industries. The 9th edition of this prestigious event showcased a remarkable display of glamour and style.
However, Iyabo Ojo’s attention-grabbing appearance was humorously imitated by a fan known for creating comical content surrounding celebrities’ fashion choices.
In an unexpected twist, the fan decided to recreate the actress’s stunning ensemble using nothing but black and colored nylon.
The renowned actress, known for her impeccable taste, did not hesitate to share the hefty price tag associated with her remarkable attire.
Revealing the exorbitant cost, Iyabo Ojo disclosed that she had invested a staggering $50,000, equivalent to approximately N37.5 million in Nigerian currency, to adorn herself for the illustrious event. The dress itself was a masterpiece designed by the acclaimed celebrity stylist, Toyin Lawani.
Responding to the fan’s audacious imitation, Iyabo Ojo lightheartedly threatened to involve her lawyers and take the matter to court. In an amusing social media post, she wrote, “Please, I need an Idan lawyer, who has Oba lawyers’ number, I need to sue this guy……… nobody should beg me oooo, we shall meet in court ………. my $50,000 ???? dress, no wayyyyyy.”
