I am ready to give marriage a second chance- Toke Makinwa

 Toke Makinwa has said that she is ready to give marriage a second chance and also venture into motherhood as she turns 35 in November this year. Toke’s eighteen-month-old marriage to Maje Ayida ended in 2015 after he impregnated his ex-girlfriend, Anita Solomon. Their marriage which was contracted in January 2014, was annulled by the Igbosere High court Lagos in October 2017.

 In a post shared on her Instagram page, the media personality stated that this would be her last year as a single lady. Toke wrote,

PSA .. Calling on all travel companies, let’s make magic together this November, I turn 35 and I want a solid girls trip to my dream destination Phuket – Thailand ?? I want to wake up to the sounds of the ocean, visit nearby islands, drink some rum and live it up as it’s my last year as a single girl. ready to give marriage a second chance and of course the bambinos too. So if you’ll like to sponsor my friends and I to create the best content ever, let’s do it big in November.

In 2013, Makinwa became an ambassador of the United Africa Company of Nigeria, alongside Osas Ighodaro, Dare Art Alade and Dan Foster. She also signed a multi-million naira contract with Nestlé Nigeria to become the new face of Maggi. In 2016, she became the brand ambassador and face of Mecran Cosmetics.She has also been a Payporte Ambassador, as well as Ciroc’s first female ambassador in Nigeria.

In 2010, Makinwa made her major media debut on Rhythm 93.7 FM’s The Morning Drive show as a co-host.In 2012, she made a television appearance as host of the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) beauty pageant, which was broadcast live across Nigeria. She co-hosted Flytime TV’s 3 Live Chicks, along with Tosyn Bucknor and Oreka Godis. The show debuted as a web series before expanding to terrestrial television in late 2012. Makinwa did not renew her contract with Flytime TV for the show’s second season and was subsequently replaced by her radio colleague Omalicha. In 2012, Toke Makinwa launched her YouTube vlog series Toke Moments.
