Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State issued a stern warning to the newly sworn-in government officials of his administration, urging them to exhibit diligence in their assignments. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony held on Tuesday, Governor Nwifuru emphasized that any official found wanting in their duties would be promptly relieved of their position, with no chance of reinstatement.

“This is a call to serve,” Governor Nwifuru stated, addressing the appointees. “While I congratulate you on your appointments, I implore you to take your responsibilities seriously. Let it be clear that these appointments are not based on political patronage.”

A total of thirty-five newly appointed Commissioners were sworn in by the Governor, along with the Chief of Staff, Professor Emmanuel Echiegu, the Deputy Chief of Staff, Engineer Timothy Nwachi, and a host of Senior Assistants, Special Assistants, and Personal Assistants.

Governor Nwifuru urged the appointees to work hand in hand with him to effect transformative changes in the state. He underscored the importance of the positions, reiterating that they were not granted as political favors, but rather as a means to drive progress and development.

“Our state is eagerly awaiting our leadership style, and we must demonstrate our commitment to them,” Governor Nwifuru declared. “We must showcase our capabilities and assure the people that we have what it takes to deliver.”

Expressing gratitude to the people of Ebonyi State for their patience and support, Governor Nwifuru assured them that his administration would swiftly embark on fulfilling its campaign promises.

“We are thankful to the people of Ebonyi State for their patience, particularly with regards to the environment. By the grace of God, we will make good on our pledges,” he proclaimed.

Speaking on behalf of the newly appointed officials, Chief of Staff Professor Emmanuel Echiegu expressed gratitude to the Governor for deeming them worthy of serving the state. He assured Governor Nwifuru that they would work diligently to justify the trust placed in them.

As the Governor’s administration begins its tenure, expectations run high among the citizens of Ebonyi State. They eagerly await the fulfillment of promises and the implementation of policies aimed at propelling the state towards growth and development. With the newly appointed officials now in place, the collective responsibility of realizing these aspirations falls on their shoulders.
