Nollywood fine boys, Gabriel Afolayan and Sunkanmi Omobolanle turn a year older today, March 1. The two talented actors who happened to have a lot in common in their artistry are also friends.
Gabriel Afolayan is a Nigerian film actor, director and musician. He studied Theater Arts at the University of Ibadan. He is part of the renowned Afolayan entertainment family that comprises Ade Love, Kunle Afolayan and Aremu Afolayan. As an actor, he won the Best Supporting Actor award for playing “Tavier Jambari” in Hoodrush (2012). As a musician, he is known mostly for “Awelewa” and “Kokoro Ife”.
Sunkanmi Omobolanle was born on March 1, 1981. He hails from Ilora, a town in Oyo State southwestern Nigeria. He is the son of the veteran comic actor, Sunday Omobolanle, popularly known as “Papi Luwe”. He attended the Nigerian Military School before he proceeded to Olabisi Onabanjo University where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
