Passion and Providence: Chef Hilda Baci’s Heavenly Path in the Culinary World

Akwa Ibom native, Hilda Baci, a 27-year-old chef and recent World Record breaker, has credited her successful cooking career to a divine calling from God. In an exclusive interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Tuesday, Baci shared her insights into her culinary journey and the passion that led her to achieve the remarkable feat.

Just last Monday, Baci shattered the previous record for the Longest Cooking Marathon (Individual) by spending an astonishing 100 hours in the kitchen. The previous record was held by Indian chef Lata Tondon, who cooked for an impressive 87 hours and 45 minutes.

Baci, a culinary expert with a profound love for cooking, expressed her deep connection to the art and how she believes it is an innate part of her being. Even during her time as a television presenter, Baci showcased her passion for cooking through hosting a cooking show and conducting cooking segments on a breakfast program. This further reinforced her conviction that cooking was her true calling.

“I’m still very capable of being a TV host, but I chose to devote myself more to cooking because I needed to focus on this aspect of my life and the business side of it, to establish a solid foundation,” Baci explained during the interview.

Reflecting on her journey, Baci acknowledged that cooking had always been an integral part of her life. She stated, “Even in the other aspects of my career, cooking always stood out the most. I would say it’s what God wants me to do.” The talented chef firmly believes that her culinary skills were bestowed upon her for a greater purpose.

When asked about the inception of her cooking business, MyFood by Hilda, Baci described the overwhelmingly positive response as a sign that she had indeed found her true calling. “The moment I started my business, the reception was incredible. The tremendous support I received reinforced the fact that this is what I am meant to do, and I genuinely love every aspect of it. For the most part, it doesn’t feel like work,” Baci expressed with enthusiasm.

Hilda Baci’s devotion to her culinary craft and her unwavering belief in its divine origins have propelled her to break barriers and make her mark in the culinary world. As she continues to inspire others with her talent and dedication, it is clear that she is destined for even greater achievements in the future.
