Former Permanent Secretary Jailed For Fraud

Former Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity, Dr. Iloh Onubuogo Clement, has been given a 5-year jail sentence by a Lagos High Court in Ikeja today for N14.6 million fraud.

The former Permanent Secretary had been taken to court in 2017 for allegedly awarding fictitious contracts to himself. Now, two years later, he was found guilty of the charges brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The sentence was given by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo.

A graduate of Theatre Arts who is also a scriptwriter, editor, director, and movie critic.
