Tinubu’s Ministerial Nominees Receive Fani-Kayode’s Blessing

In a much-anticipated move, President Bola Tinubu submitted a comprehensive list of ministerial nominees to the National Assembly for confirmation. The list, which comprises 28 individuals, has been commended by Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Aviation Minister and Chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Upon the announcement of the second ministerial list by Senate President, Senator Godwill Akapbio, there was widespread interest in the choices made by President Tinubu. While some critics from the opposition questioned certain inclusions, the list was largely lauded as a well-considered selection.

Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, known for his vocal stance against the opposition during the campaign, was notably absent from the list, despite speculation that he might be considered. Many believed that his experience and contributions to the party would have earned him a spot on the ministerial roster.

Responding to the unveiled ministerial list, Fani-Kayode took to Twitter to express his support for President Tinubu’s nominees. In his tweet, he praised the choices made, referring to them as excellent candidates. He urged Nigerians to rally behind these individuals and offer them their prayers and support as they undertake their responsibilities.

In his tweet, Fani-Kayode said, “Congratulations to all those in both the first and second Ministerial lists of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. They are all excellent choices, and I wish them the very best in their service to our great nation. I was a Minister 16 years ago and I know how taxing and challenging it can be. We must remember them in our prayers and ask God to guide them in all their endeavors as they make difficult choices for our nation and assist Mr. President.”

The second ministerial list, which came just before the 60-day deadline mandated by the Constitution for the submission of ministerial nominees, has drawn attention for its diversity and representation from various sectors. As President Tinubu’s nominees prepare for the confirmation process and subsequent service to the nation, they will undoubtedly face significant challenges in steering the country towards progress.

As Nigerians await the formalization of the ministerial appointments through the confirmation process, the spotlight remains on the prospective ministers and their abilities to fulfill the expectations of the populace. With Chief Femi Fani-Kayode’s endorsement, President Tinubu’s nominees gain added confidence and encouragement to navigate the demands of their roles diligently and make crucial decisions for the nation’s advancement.
