A fire outbreak has been reported in a five-story building in Balogun market, Lagos state.
Reports indicate that the section of the building where traders sell shoes was affected by the fire. Thankfully, no casualties have been reported so far, and the fire service has assured the public that the situation is under control.
Adeseye Margaret, the director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, confirmed that firefighters have been mobilized to the area and are doing their best to bring the situation under control. Additionally, the fire truck of the United Bank for Africa (UBA) is also assisting in efforts to quench the inferno.
It is not yet clear what caused the fire outbreak, but investigations are ongoing to determine the cause.
