It appears that Fast and Furious stars Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel have chosen to put hostilities behind them, opting to make peace, with Johnson poised to return to the franchise.
Their settlement was made evident in Johnson’s recent appreciation for Diesel supporting his movie, Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, a spin-off set in the same universe of the Fast films.
Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel had clashed on the set of Fast and Furious 8 and had ended up not sharing any scenes in the movie. Even co-star Tyrese Gibson had called Johnson selfish when plans for Hobbs & Shaw had kicked off.
Johnson’s introduction as Agent Hobbs had revitalized the franchise and his epic fight with Diesel’s character in Fast 5 is one of the movie’s highlights as it was what a lot of fans had dreamed of.
In an Instagram video, Johnson thanked Diesel for his support for Hobbs and Shaw (which has become a huge box office success) and concluded with the words “I’ll be seeing you soon, Toretto”.
Those words could only mean that Johnson will appear in a future Fast movie. That is great news as fans will be immensely thrilled to see them back onscreen as it will be one hell of a movie; Johnson’s magic touch and Diesel’s charisma will take the movie to new heights for sure.
In the meantime, let’s keep waiting for more info on the forthcoming movie.
