The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has come under fire over the remark he made about a planned ‘two million march’ for the Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, in Kaduna.
TalkGlitz Media had earlier reported how the governor mocked supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Supporters of Obi had planned to carry out a rally in Kaduna tagged ‘Two Million March For Peter Obi’.
Reacting to a tweet via his verified Twitter account, El-Rufai hopes they have two hundred people in the streets of Kaduna for the march.
The governor said they can only get the figure they are projecting by “importing” people to the state.
See the tweet below:
In Kaduna? Not Kaduna Twitter? –
???????????????????????????????????????????????????????? I hope you get Two Hundred persons on the streets, including those ‘imports’ that can’t open their shops on Mondays, and came on overnight bus last night!!

El-Rufai’s comment has been met with angry reactions by Nigerians on social media. See Some reactions below:
– Father El Rufai is a bigot who is open about his discrimination of the Igbos.
– Son Bello Rufai always threatening to gang rape peoples’ mothers on Twitter.
– Mother Hadiza defends the action of both. This is the first family of a state in Nigeria. We are finished.

El Rufai has challenged the people of Kaduna. In his words, we can’t get up to 200 persons in the March there. He clearly doesn’t rate Peter Obi or any South Easterner over there, but undermining the running mate, Datti Yusuf Baba-Ahmed was a new level of low for the midget. pic.twitter.com/MFGR4tOyta

El Rufai just called the Obidient Movement IPOB by talking about shops that don’t open on Monday. My Kaduna ppl,u guys have been affected by Terrorism in the last couple of yrs, this is the time to show this man that power truly belongs to the people. Come and walk with us. https://t.co/bSJMwoDsAn

From a sitting governor? This is so unnecessary and definitely not a way to foster a United Nigeria. Our so called leaders keep fueling unnecessary hate and bigotry. https://t.co/eshhFABAqA

El Rufai purposely added that "imported people in a night bus" line so that when he sees the crowd from the 2MillionManMarch, he will say the people were imported.

What about us that can’t travel from Kaduna to Abuja through out the week because of bandits? Decorum and civility is what you El Rufai should understand. Your tweet lack appropriate social behaviour, hence u should keep Quite. Peter Obi will triumph before your eyes. Onitsha https://t.co/bR1ul44khj

That @elrufai who is on the brink of losing his state against bandits had to respond to this shows how seriously the political class take the "structureless" Obi-dient movement. We've come a long way in a short period. https://t.co/kcIFiWYv5g

The Senate Joint Committees on FCT and Housing which probed the FCT Administration(FCTA) between 1999 and 2007, said “el-Rufai is not a fit and proper person to hold office in a democratic setting.” https://t.co/pGcrFmQx5a

El-Rufai draws oxygen from bigotry. He is angry Peter Obi has become the Face of A New Nigeria. 2 Million youths marching on the streets of Kaduna, carries a huge symbolism. It demystifies his messianic complex & sense of worth. My People, you know what to do. APPLY WHAT?????? ????
— NEFERTITI (@firstladyship) August 15, 2022
Anything that happens to anyone on that day of the march, hold El Rufai responsible.
A governor terrorist that pays bandits to kill and maim people.
Idiotic rubbish! https://t.co/WnzEJzYSrn

El Rufai okay we’ve heard you. You don’t want Peter Obi supporters to March in your state Kaduna but come first, what have you done as a governor to help release the victims of the Kaduna train attacks?
