Renowned Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has been bestowed with a national honour award by the Federal Government of Nigeria. The government conferred upon Davido the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) award.
Expressing his gratitude for the honour, Davido took to his Instagram story to share the news, posting a list of other individuals who were also bestowed with the same honour. He marked his name on the list and captioned the post with “David Adeleke OON” alongside the Nigerian flag.
Davido’s uncle, Ademola Adeleke, celebrated the singer for making the Adeleke family proud and for serving as a positive representative of Osun State. In his message, he wrote, “Congratulations Davido on your conferment with Nigeria’s national honour award, Officer of the Order of Niger (OON). You have made the family proud and Osun as a state.”
