Nigerian footballer Peter Olayinka has kicked off his debut Champions League game in stunning fashion by scoring, joining former player Yakubu Aiyegbeni as the first African to score in his first game in the competition.
Aiyegbeni had achieved the milestone in 2002 and Olayinka is the second to do so.
Olayinka played for his team, Czech Clubside Slavia Prague in yesterday’s UEFA Champions League match against Italian team, Inter Milan and found the back of the net in the 18th minute of the second half. The game ended in a 1-1 draw.
Peter Olayinka Oladeji was born on 18 November 1995 and plays as a striker. He started his career in Ibadan before moving to Lagos where he played for 36 Lion FC Football Academy.
Slavia Prague signed Olayinka in 2018 in a four-year contract agreement.
