President Muhammadu Buhari has sent the 2020-2022 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper to the Senate.

The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, had announced that the proposed expenditure for the 2020 budget is N9.79 trillion on Wednesday.He promises early passage of the budget if submitted early to lawmakers.
However,reports state that the leadership of the Senate said that its standing committees would be inaugurated during the plenary on Wednesday, September 25.
