Nigerian Starboy, WizKid has emerged the winner at the just concluded BET Awards 2017 in the category of Best International Act (Africa) having pulled through among other African nominees like AKA, Tekno, Davido and Nasty C.
Wizkid became a proclaimed music act to the world the moment he crossed the border with his Ojuelegba track back in 2015. Thereafter, hooking up with Drake to make a global hit track, One Dance on his album “Views”. He was credited as the original writer of One Dance by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP)
With these feats in the last couple of years, Wizkid has risen to become the most priced artist out of African, his success at the BET 2017, therefore, didn’t appear as a surprise to many.
