Former housemate reveals he claimed to be 28 instead of 24 due to age-related comments from fellow contestant Ozee
Evicted Big Brother Naija housemate, Mickey, has admitted that he lied about his age while in the house. In a post-eviction interview with show host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Mickey revealed that he told his fellow housemates he was 28 years old when, in fact, he is only 24.
Mickey explained that he felt the need to alter his age due to fellow contestant Ozee’s constant references to age during their interactions. “I’m 24 years old. I lied to Ozee that I’m 28 because of the kind of person he is. He likes to bring age into every conversation,” Mickey shared.
Recalling a specific instance, Mickey added, “There was a time he told me that he was in Nigeria before I was born. I was upset. That was why when he and Fairme were arguing, I asked Fairme to ignore him and go upstairs because Ozee will never accept defeat.”

In addition to addressing the age issue, Mickey took the opportunity to apologise for misjudging fellow housemate Wanni, admitting that he misunderstood her character. “I wouldn’t lie, it took me a long time to understand that Wanni actually has a soft heart. Apologies for that. Wanni is a very soft girl,” he acknowledged.
