Naira Marley and Sam Larry Granted Bail in Mohbad Case

A Magistrate’s Court in Yaba, Lagos State, has granted bail to singer Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry. The bail amount set by the court is N20 million, and they are required to provide three responsible sureties.

This development comes after Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and two others were arraigned and remanded in custody on October 6 in connection with the circumstances surrounding the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.

Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun issued the bail conditions, which include surrendering their passports and making weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Panti.

During her ruling, Olatunbosun emphasized, “As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are required to surrender their passports and report weekly to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).”

Furthermore, the magistrate issued a warning, stating, “No one should attempt to contact me directly regarding this case,” and cautioned that any such attempts would be documented and potentially disclosed during open court proceedings.
