His real name, Oluwakayode Junior Balogun, the “Aye O le” singer shares a strong lineage with the late fuji garbage legend, Sikiru Ayinde Barrister. Barry Jhay is often regarded as Barrister’s son, a fact we really can’t hold to ground only that they share strong relation.
Little wonder why he samples Barrister’s tune in one of his songs, ‘Tomorrow”.
Barry Jhay hit the wave with his “Aye” in 2018 and it stands out as one of the songs that rocked the year. An inspirational song laced with positive lyrics that convey a heavy message.
Barry Jhay was embraced by the industry owing to his effort on this track.
Signed to Cash Nation Entertainment, the singer goes further to prove himself in “Kpakujemu”, a song by Westsyde on which he featured alongside, Olamide, Lyta and Starboy Terri. Olamide is one of the big acts thrilled with Barry Jhay’s musical talent. He’s has shown love and support for him on different occasions on his Instagram.
Barry Jhay is quite promising with his unique Afro-pop style that seems to be out of the norm. He delivers his music with so much originality.
