According to recent reports, George Wade, a former partner of popular Nollywood actress Empress Njamah, has been arrested in Liberia. This news was confirmed by the actress herself on her Instastory on Monday.
In the post, Njamah shared a video showing Wade being led away by security operatives in handcuffs, with a caption that read, “Our God is not asleep”. It is believed that Wade’s arrest may be related to the allegations of domestic abuse and blackmail that Njamah had made against him following the breakdown of their relationship.
Njamah had previously spoken out about the abuse she suffered at Wade’s hands, revealing that he had scammed, beaten and even held her hostage. According to the actress, Wade had forced her to record a video, which he then posted on her social media page. He had also changed all her passwords and locked her out of all her accounts, leaving her with no access to anything.
Despite her ordeal, Njamah managed to escape from Wade and seek help. However, the threats did not stop there, as Wade reportedly leaked her private pictures and videos via a WhatsApp group chat that included bloggers and other people.
The arrest of George Wade is a significant development in this ongoing saga, and it remains to be seen what further action will be taken against him.
