Apple has made a new update for iOS and macOS that includes fixes for the Apple Studio Display monitor’s poor webcam quality. In our test with the beta version of macOS, we found that webcam performance is still far from perfect, but in our tests, we found that the update has improved contrast, reduced visible noise, and boosted color accuracy. We will retest the camera software now that it’s final to see if any improvements have been done.

One of the few visible changes in iOS 15.5 is references to external purchases, which would enable developers to link their apps to external payment systems. Apple generally requires developers to use its in-app purchase system for digital transactions, but it’s facing pressure from regulators and some countries.

Apple will be announcing the next update to iOS at its annual developer conference. [Instructions] on how to update your iPhone can be found on Apple’s site.
