According to a recent news report, Hon Yakubu Murtala Ajaka, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, has expressed his belief that the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the party’s candidate in the 2023 Presidential election reaffirms the unity of Nigeria. In his congratulatory message, Ajaka stated that

Tinubu’s presidency will lead the country towards economic prosperity.

He further mentioned that the President-elect would work towards the continued prosperity of Nigeria and uphold the country’s values. He expressed his excitement about the positive changes that will come from the new administration in actualizing the renewed hope and aspirations of the people. Additionally, he acknowledged the security personnel and electoral umpires for their commitment to free and fair elections.

Moreover, Ajaka emphasized that the victory of the All Progressives Congress in the presidential and National Assembly elections is a testament to the strength of Nigeria’s democracy and the power of the collective voice. He added that Nigerians’ decision to vote without ethnic and religious sentiments indicates that those who think a candidate can win a national election based on religion and ethnicity should rethink and work towards national unity.

Tinubu emerged as the winner of the presidential election after polling 8,794,726 votes, defeating the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and the Labour Party flag bearer, Peter Obi, who came second and third, respectively. Ajaka recognized the hard work and dedication of the citizens of Nigeria, particularly the people of Idah Federal Constituency, Kogi East Senatorial district, and the state at large.

Finally, Ajaka extended his congratulations to Kogi East Senator-elect, Jibrin Isah Echocho, and Idah Federal Constituency member-elect, Hon Idris Zachariah.
