Gunmen have killed Edward Okechukwu, the Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 5, Oyigbo Local Government Area in Rivers State.
Okechukwu was the son of the paramount ruler of Azuogo Ndoki community. He and four other young men were shot dead on Monday.
According to those living in the area, the killers are from Ilori of Ogoni community in Tai Local Government in the state.
The gunmen, armed with different weapons, inflicted injuries on people in the neighboring communities. They also destroyed properties while snatching valuables.
