Anambra State All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential campaign coordinator, Senator Mrs Margrey Okadigbo, has urged the APC women in the state to increase their door-to-door mobilisation efforts to attract voters in the upcoming 2023 presidential polls.
She encouraged the women leaders and stakeholders in the party to work tirelessly to ensure the victory of the APC’s candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and deliver their polling units for the party in the election. Senator Okadigbo made this charge during an interactive session with all the APC women leaders across wards and local government in the state held in Awka on Thursday.
Senator Okadigbo emphasized that the party has entered a crucial phase of the campaign and added that the success of the presidential rally was due to the ward mobilisation of the party members. She stressed the need to replicate that success at the polls and called for all hands to be on deck to support the mobilisation of women to canvass for votes.
Senator Emma Anosike also highlighted the importance of women’s active participation in the 2023 general election and announced a cash reward for every ward delivered in the election by the PCC.
Sir Azuka Okwuosa acknowledged the crucial role of women in the political process, emphasising that they have the largest voting bloc in Nigeria. He urged the women to provide leadership and give their 100 per cent to the general election, challenging them to display the unique attribute that God has endowed in them so that the APC can succeed.
The State Woman Leader of the party, Mrs Maria Ejielo, expressed her confidence in the APC women’s mobilisation strategy and pledged to gather all the votes from every home, unit, ward, and local government to ensure the victory of the APC and Asiwaju.
