Alleged fraud: Nigerian Bigboy Hushpuppi To Commence Trial October

Popular Instagram Big boy, Ramon Abbas Popular aka “Hushpuppi“ has been arraigned in a court in California, United States, ahead of his trial which will begin in October.

Hushpuppi pleaded not guilty to four counts of conspiracy to commit money laundering conspiracies, wire fraud, international money laundering, and engaging in monetary transactions in property derived from specified unlawful activity.

In June, the 37-year-old known for an extravagant lifestyle on social media was arrested in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, by special operatives of the Emirati police and American Federal Bureau of Investigation.

As gathered by Premium Times, the prosecutors have begun the process of arraignment by filing necessary documents and forms after his first appearance on August 17.

Hushpuppi reportedly entered a plea, insisting that he is not guilty of the charges. He will be represented in court by Vicki Podberesky, a top-rated lawyer in California and Gal Pissetzky, a Chicago-based lawyer appearing pro hac vice because he is not licensed to practice outside Chicago.
