Aide Warns of Political Fallout if FCT Demolitions Continue
Political Aide’s Tweet Foresees Challenges for FCT Demolition Drive

In a surprising turn of events, Daniel Bwala, a prominent aide to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has issued a stern warning that President Bola Tinubu might find himself compelled to sacrifice the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, if he proceeds with his proposed demolition of structures within the FCT.

The revelation comes on the heels of Nyesom Wike’s inauguration into office earlier this week, during which he declared his intention to raze unlawfully constructed houses across the national capital, regardless of whose properties would be impacted.

In a resolute tone, Minister Wike proclaimed, “All those individuals responsible for distorting the meticulously planned layout of Abuja will face the consequences. If you have erected structures where they are prohibited, they shall be razed.”

“Whether you hold a ministerial position or serve as an ambassador, if you have encroached where encroachment is forbidden, your edifice will face demolition. Those who have encumbered the green spaces with unauthorized constructions shall see them dismantled. The sanctity of our parks and green areas shall be restored. Those who disregard nature, in essence, disregard themselves,” the Minister firmly stated.

Responding to this declaration, Bwala took to Twitter to voice his concerns, urging Minister Wike to exercise prudence and humility in the execution of his duties.

Bwala tweeted, “Greetings, sir. Allow me to remind you of the fundamental requisites of the FCT’s populace: accessible healthcare services, quality educational institutions, well-maintained sports and recreational facilities, affordable and efficient transportation networks, effective street lighting across both city center and suburbs, and last but not least, robust security measures.”

He continued, “Your approach appears confrontational and vengeful, primarily centered around demolitions and title revocations. However, it is essential to realize that Abuja diverges significantly from Port Harcourt. Initiating chaos within the capital might inadvertently imperil your superior’s interests, ultimately leading to your political sacrifice. The lessons of humility gleaned from this experience would undoubtedly resonate.”

This unexpected exchange of words between a top-tier aide and the newly appointed Minister of FCT has raised eyebrows across political circles, leaving many to speculate about the potential ramifications of such a clash on the landscape of national politics. As President Bola Tinubu navigates this delicate situation, all eyes remain fixed on the unfolding events within the Federal Capital Territory.
