Actress Reveals Uneasy Details of Brief Relationship with Kanye West in New Interview
Actress and model Julia Fox has opened up about her short-lived romance with Kanye West, expressing deep regret over the relationship. In a candid interview with The Times published on Saturday, Fox described her time with the rapper as one of the “most uncomfortable” periods of her life, admitting that she now wishes she had never dated him.
Fox, who dated Kanye briefly between late 2021 and early 2022, said she had hoped to keep their relationship private, but it quickly became public without her consent. She revealed that she felt used as a “pawn” during their time together, and confirmed that West was the “artist” she wrote about in her memoir, Down the Drain. In the book, Fox details how West chose her outfits, offered to pay for a breast augmentation, and even asked her to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
Reflecting on the relationship, Fox explained, “It put me in the most uncomfortable position in my life, and that’s saying a lot. I don’t want to be known for being anyone’s girlfriend.” Despite their glamorous public appearances, including a trip to Paris where they donned matching leather outfits, Fox disclosed that they fought throughout much of their time together.
Since their brief relationship ended, Fox has shared more about her personal life, revealing over the summer that she identifies as a lesbian in a playful TikTok video.
