Pop star recounts close call from six months ago, using her quirky “British” accent
Britney Spears has taken to Instagram once again, this time sharing a bizarre and dramatic story of nearly setting herself on fire months ago. In a video posted on Monday, the pop star, speaking in her unusual, self-proclaimed “British” accent, recounted the mishap that left her temporarily without eyelashes and eyebrows.
According to Spears, she usually relies on her security team to manage the lighting of her fireplace, but six months ago, she decided to handle it herself. Unfortunately, things went wrong, and the flames blew up in her face. While no photos of her singed face have emerged, Britney insisted she believed she had suffered second- and third-degree burns in the incident.
She even pointed out her current mismatched baby bangs, attributing the uneven hairstyle to her hair being scorched in the fiery mishap.
Spears shared that at the time of the incident, her companion was fast asleep and completely unaware of the early morning drama. Left to manage the situation alone, she applied ice to her face, endured the pain for about seven hours, took three Tylenol, and then went to bed.
It’s unclear why Britney chose to recount the incident now, but this isn’t her first encounter with fire. In 2020, her home gym was destroyed after it went up in flames.
