Rumours circulating the media say the split was a result of ASAP cheating on Riri with Amina. Now the big question is; who really is Amina Muaddi?

Amina Muaddi is the designer for Rihanna’s Fenty Shoes.

On how the journey started, she is well renowned for her signature flared heel which caught the attention of Riri. She had met Rihanna at a party in Paris where they hugged and eulogized each other’s brands.

“Her style is super edgy and feminine at the same time, so the silhouette is always balanced,” she explains. “My style is very similar; I love to contrast and mix things up. With my shoes, you can wear them with a gown or with sweatpants and they look great regardless.”

According to Muaddi, Fenty had reached out to her after Rihanna rocked one of her shoes flawlessly and liked it.

Afterwards, the singer’s stylist, Jahleel Weaver, put Muaddi on her radar, she immediately fell in love with the brand and was regularly seen wearing them. Fast forward a couple of years and the musician-turned-designer enlisted Muaddi to design the shoes for her latest Fenty drop.

Muaddi was born in Romania to a Jordanian father and Romanian mother. Shortly after, her family relocated to Amman. Her parents split when she was six and she returned to Romania with her mother, where she spent most of her childhood.

Muaddi recalls that by the time she was nine, she was determined to work in the fashion industry. After completing her studies at the European Institute of Design in Milan, she worked as an assistant stylist for Condé Nast, Vogue Italy, L’Uomo Vogue and then for GQ magazine in New York.

In 2017, the designer left Oscar Tiye and launched her eponymous brand. Her pieces have been worn by the likes of Bella and Gigi Hadid, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Rihanna.

In 2018, Muaddi was hired by Rihanna to design footwear for Fenty and their first collection was launched in July 2020.

In December 2020, she collaborated with rapper A$AP Rocky on a collection. She was a member of the jury of the 2020 Vogue Fashion Prize.
