What is Kidney?

The kidney is an organ in the body that filters the blood and produces urine. It is very important for everyone to maintain a healthy kidney. Try as much as possible to avoid anything that can lead to kidney damage or failure. Here are common habits that can cause damage to the kidney;

High Consumption Of Salt

We should be conscious of the quantity and quality of salt we consume every day. High salt consumption can lead to kidney failure.If possible, go for sea salt and maintain a healthy kidney and other vital organs of the body.

Insufficient Water Intake

Water is nature’s miracle medicine. It is the cheapest medicine God has given man. Water can be used to cure certain disease condition like; Heartburn, high cholesterol, peptic ulcer. Increase your water intake to help boost your immune system. Insufficient water intake affects the efficiency of all cell activities. Remember that the body needs three litres of water per day. Take water first thing in the morning and the last thing at night for a healthy kidney.

Regular Use of Analgesic

Regular use of analgesics is not good for the kidney. Reduce the intake of pain reliever so as to reduce the risk of kidney damage or failure. Most of these analgesics contain caffeine which a dangerous substance to the body system. So, do not resort to pain reliever anytime you are having pains. Sometimes, try to ignore the pain, take enough water and have a sound sleep you will be alright.
