The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubarkar met with the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
Atiku met with the leadership of CAN with his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa on Tuesday, in Abuja.
It was reported that CAN had commenced interaction with presidential candidates where they presented their proposals.
Atiku was also accompanied to the interactive session by some PDP chieftains.
The PDP national chairman, Dr Iyorchia Ayu, Governor of Taraba State, Darius Ishaku; former Senate President, Bukola Saraki; former Vice President, Alhaji Namadi Sambo; Chief Tom Ikimi; Chairman Emeritus of Daar Communications Plc, Dr Raymond Dokpesi; were also in attendance.
A former governor of Cross River, Liyel Imoke; Senator Philip Aduda, Senator Dino Melaye, Timi Alaibe, Kenneth Imasuagbon, Dele Momodu, Boni Haruna, and other party Chieftains were also among the team.
Atiku also shared photos of the meeting on his Twitter page.
“To RECOVER Nigeria, we need to consult widely with all the critical stakeholders in our country. I am at the Ecumenical Centre in Abuja for my interactive session with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN). It promises to be a robust and fulfilling conversation,” he tweeted.
