Kefas Sule, a chieftain of the Labour Party (LP) in Taraba state, has led the 18-member forum of 2019 gubernatorial candidates to endorse Col. Kefas Agbu, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the upcoming gubernatorial election on March 11, 2023.
During a press briefing in Jalingo, Sule, who previously served as the director of publicity for the LP presidential campaign council for Taraba, stated that the decision to endorse Col. Agbu was made after careful consultation and scrutiny of all candidates running for governor of the state.
Sule explained that the forum found Col. Agbu to be the best candidate to deliver the desired dividend of democracy for the people, citing his military experience and role as a former Chairman of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).
Sule further emphasized the importance of electing a governor who is committed to the best interests of Taraba state and possesses the necessary experience to lead the state towards progress and development. He also highlighted the need for adequate security, which he believes Col. Agbu’s military background and experience as a Joint Task Force (JTF) commander in the South South region will be useful in addressing.
In conclusion, Sule urged Tarabans to vote for Col. Agbu, stating that the forum will mobilize its supporters and various groups in all local government areas to vote for him
