Nigerian singer and former Plantashun Boiz member Blackface has explained his decision to record his own version of popular song African Queen.

The music artist bared his mind on Max 102.3 FM in an interview session, where he said he was making plans for his defunct group to return, with or without the other former members.

Blackface also aired his views on the issue of poor lyrics in the music industry, noting that some artists were not authentic.

Blackface has recently attacked ex-music mates, 2baba and Faze over songs he claims to have written which they performed.

Born Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo in Benue State, Nigeria, Blackface is a dancehall, ragga, and reggae singer and songwriter. He was a founding member of the Nigerian band Plantashun Boiz, which he formed in 2000 with 2baba and Faze.
