Tennis star, Serena Williams, has squashed fellow competitor, Elina Svitolina, to reach the 2019 US Open final.
Williams brought her A-game, dominating as she routed her opponent with a final score of 6-3, 6-1.
The black American won her first Grand Slam singles title at the 1999 US Open and hopes to repeat the feat this year.
A victory at the final would be a well-deserved reward for Williams considering the hurdles she had to overcome in recent times; almost losing her life while giving birth to her daughter, Olympia, last year’s controversial episode with Naomi Osaka, and coming back from a knee injury in the early part of the year.
The 24-year-old is regarded by many as the greatest female tennis player of all-time and her fans will no doubt be looking forward to her clinching the coveted title.
