The All Progressives Congress has claimed the Sokoto State by-election held in Kwara/Wamakko Federal Constituency on Saturday in an activity that further reinforces the gathering’s hold on the key northern state.
Returning officer, Abdullatif Usman, made the announcement that Ahmed Kalambaina won with 31,288 votes not long after gathering finished around 3:00 a.m. Sunday.
The Peoples Democratic Party applicant, Aminu Kware, scored 7,205 votes.
Voters turnout was put at around 24.39%.
The by-race was held to handle the position emptied by previous illustrative of the voting public, Abdullahi Wammako, who kicked the bucket on July 14 in Abuja. He was an individual from the APC.
Mr. Kalambaina was the director of Wamakko Local Government Area until his race.
Inhabitant Electoral Commissioners for Sokoto, Zamfara and Niger states managed the race and the outcomes that were declared in Kware, the seat of Kware Local Government Area.
