The efforts of the 29 task force brigade of Operation Hadin Kai have resulted in a significant victory in the fight against terrorism in Borno.
According to Zagazola Makama, a publication centred around the Lake Chad region, 13 suspected logistics suppliers of the Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) have been arrested.
The suspects were apprehended on Tuesday during a joint raid by the troops and the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF).
The suspects were caught while transporting large quantities of food items and fuel to the terrorists.
The publication quoted a source who stated that Benisheikh and Jakana in Kaga Local Government Areas have been significant hubs for logistics supplies for Boko Haram and ISWAP for many years.
The source added that logistic suppliers are known to stock up on essential supplies for the terrorist groups in the area.
The source also revealed that during market days, the terrorists send merchants to the market to purchase items like food, fuel, sim cards, clothes, and other items needed to sustain their operations.
The troops of Operation Hadin Kai have been persistent in their efforts to intercept the operations of these bad elements who are working for the terrorists.
The continued onslaught by the troops against ISWAP and other insurgent groups in the state is a testament to their unwavering commitment to securing the state and protecting its residents.
The recent arrests of these suspected logistics suppliers serve as a major blow to the terrorist group and bring hope for a safer future for the people of Borno.
