Introducing a new category on TalkGlitz Media, Triple Play where you get to listen to 3 hot tracks from an artist.
On our Triple Play, we’ve got one of the early R&B singers in Nigeria, Djinee with three of his great songs that were so impactful as the buzz back them.
OVERKILLIN’
This track Overkillin was indeed Overkilling! Originally released in 2008, the song was a major chartbuster and eventually ushered in a massive remix with the Choc Boiz, MI Abaga, Ice Prince and Jesse Jagz.
I NO DEY SHAME
A love-themed R&B song. Aside from the awesome melody, the video to I No Dey Shame talks about a man that would go any length to meet the needs of his drug addict lover. The track has so much depth in concept and interpretation.
EGO
Actually, the first track that got us familiar with DJinee. Before Djinee released Ego in 2006, he was a VJ and presenter on SoundCity. Apparently, the song gave him a face and reason for many to know him. Ego was that song almost every young music lover could sing word for word.
It’s a pity we can’t have this era of music back, we can only reflect!
So enjoy the triple play of the week and let’s move on!
