The logistics manager of Afrobeat sensation Davido, Isreal DMW, has come forward to clarify the association between his boss and the wanted upcoming singer, Trevboi, who has been accused of murder.
Isreal’s statement comes in response to the ongoing allegations surrounding Trevboi’s alleged involvement in a fatal shooting at a popular club in the Fadeyi area of Lagos State.
Isreal DMW firmly stated that Trevboi was never officially signed to Davido’s label, DMW, contrary to popular belief.
On his Instagram story, Isreal provided a detailed explanation, highlighting that Trevboi was someone Davido had voluntarily supported by collaborating on a song.
Moreover, Isreal disclosed that Davido had generously covered all expenses for Trevboi’s music video. However, the two parties have since parted ways due to an incident where Trevboi insulted Davido despite the artist’s kindness and support.
Setting the record straight, Isreal DMW wrote, “Trev was never Oga’s (boss’s) signee. He was just somebody whom Oga (Davido) assisted freely by jumping into his song. Oga even paid for everything for his video shoot. However, Oga long parted ways with him when he had the audacity to insult Oga as a payback for all his kindness.”
