Toke Makinwa insists she is still the owner of the property

Media personality Toke Makinwa has denied claims that she has lost her Banana Island home to the Asset Management Company of Nigeria (AMCON).

Makinwa made the denial in a statement released by her publicist Andrea Manuela Giaccaglia, insisting she was still the sole owner of the property.

Part of the statement reads:

On behalf of Ms. Toke Makinwa, we would like to address the rumour circulating the internet that Ms. Toke Makinwa’s alleged house in Banana Island was taken over by the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON).

Ms. Toke’s is the sole owner of her residence in Ikoyi. Our lawyers have been contacted and legal action will be taken against the originators of this story. Kind Regards, Toke Makinwa’s Management.”

The statement comes following Twitter users mocking the OAP after news of her losing her mansion went viral yesterday, July 27, 2020.
