Nigerian music icon Tiwa Savage recently opened up about her life, career, and personal growth in a revealing interview on Beat FM, where she promoted her latest single, Forgiveness. Sharing intimate details, Tiwa discussed her journey through love, her relentless work ethic, and her ambitions beyond music, offering fans a rare look at the woman behind the public persona.

When asked about her most daring act in the name of love, Tiwa admitted she could be just as intense in romance as she is in her career. “If I’m into someone, I’m really into that person,” she shared. On one occasion, she even went so far as to show up at a boyfriend’s house unannounced, surprising fans who view her as the fierce, untouchable “Savage.” “I may not be as savage as people think,” she laughed.

Discussing her professional life, Tiwa described the unstoppable drive that has propelled her rise to stardom. “I’m a beast when it comes to my work. I’ll call you twenty times if something needs to get done,” she revealed. Known for her strong stage presence and powerful performances, Tiwa’s work ethic is as intense as her onstage persona. “That’s where the savagery kicks in,” she added, highlighting her dedication to excellence in the music industry.

Tiwa went on to explain her current phase of personal growth, which she calls her “phoenix era.” This period of rebirth and resilience follows several major challenges in her life, symbolized by a phoenix tattoo on her neck. “I am in my phoenix era; she’s gone through the fire, and I am just getting out of it. It’s like a reinvention,” she explained. “I’m coming out stronger in terms of love, heartbreak, just where I am in life.” Tiwa shared that she has reached a point where she’s learning to set boundaries and find satisfaction in her achievements. “This is the rebirth of Tiwa Savage,” she said, describing her journey toward self-acceptance.

Looking to the future, Tiwa outlined her aspirations beyond music. “I still have much more to do. I want to do movies, start a skincare line, expand my NGO work, and maybe even open a music school,” she shared, showing her commitment to making an impact across various fields.

As a role model, Tiwa reflected on the responsibility of her public image and the balance between authenticity and influence. “It’s something I had to embrace,” she admitted. “As much as I’m seen as a role model, I still have to be true to myself. When I make mistakes, I address them, because I’m human—that’s part of being a role model.”
