Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, and Kashim Shettima, the vice-president-elect, have moved into the Defence House in Abuja.
The Defence House is located in the Maitama district of Abuja. This move is ahead of their inauguration, which is set to take place in May.
Bayo Onanuga, the director of media and publicity for the Tinubu/Shettima campaign, tweeted on Wednesday, confirming that the duo had moved to the Defence House.

Recalled Tinubu returned to Nigeria on Monday after spending a month abroad. He travelled to Paris to rest after being declared the winner of the presidential election.
Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State, won the election with a total of 8,794,726 votes, defeating Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who had 6,984,520 votes, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), who secured 6,101,533 votes and came third.
The Defence House will serve as the residence of the president-elect and vice-president-elect until they take the oath of office on May 29th. After that, they will move to the Aso Rock villa, the official residence of the president of Nigeria.
During their stay at the Defence House, Tinubu is expected to receive briefings and hold key meetings with officials, government functionaries and stakeholders in the polity.
Tinubu was accompanied to the Defence House by Senate President Ahmad Lawan, Abdullahi Adamu, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Femi Gbajabiamila, speaker of the House of Representatives, among others.
