Ghanaian movie star Yvonne Nelson has criticized the country’s film industry, saying it is ridden with hate and jealousy.
The actress, model, film producer, and entrepreneur who is one of the industry’s most popular faces is a former Miss Ghana contestant who burst onto the movie scene with roles in Princess Tyra and Playboy.
Writing via her Twitter handle, Yvonne Nelson stated that in the Ghanaian entertainment industry, one has to compel people to push one’s work as they would see it and ignore it.
Calling it an industry full of hate and jealousy, the star urged them to learn to love one another so that God would bless them.
She wrote:
Ghanaian entertainment industry = you’d have to actually tell peeps in the industry to push your work… they see it and ignore! I’m THANKFUL the fans believe in me! After all I do this for the FANS.
An INDUSTRY full of HATE & JEALOUSY. Learn to love another and see how God will BLESS you!”
